Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn, an American actress in television and film, as well as theatre. A gifted thespian she has been performing professionally for the last 27 years. Her first professional role came in 1990 in an Off-Broadway production from The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. The following year, she was cast in her first TV role in The Perfect Tribute. In 1992 she got her breakthrough when she played as a secondary character in the movie Basic Instinct. In the film The Firm however that she was cast as the leading female character for the first time. She was cast in the film alongside famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Lexis is a member of a golfing family and is no stranger to the sport that is predominantly male. The beginning of her golfing career was a successful one. She became the youngest female to be selected in 2007 for the US Women's Open. She didn't win the event, but she was able to win the Aldila Junior Classic in the following year and became the second. She was the smallest American Junior Golf Association player (AJGA) and also as being the youngest to have won the Westfield Junior PGA Championship at that time.
